This is called the A-Service where another round of inspection and tire rotation must be done.
A wrench icon will light up on the control panel to signify that it is time for A-Service. This should happen after reaching approximately 5,000 to 6,000 miles after the date of last service. Two lit wrench icons on your control panel will indicate the need for B-Service. Ignoring these notices may result to a high Mercedes Benz repair cost. These notifications are precisely given to alert you that because of the heavy mileage you have accumulated, your car may already be showing effects of normal wear and tear.
The A-Service - This type of service includes a wide array of activities that need to be performed on your car. This includes the inspection and recording of tire depth, adjustment of tire pressures, engine oil change, and replacement of oil filter. Except for the AMG, Sport and SLK models, tire rotation is also performed during the A-Service activity. Function checks are done on warning lamps, headlights, exterior lights, seatbelts, windshield assembly and washers. An inspection of the cooling system is performed and the air filters are checked and cleaned.
